![]() I believe the solution would be to get a USB hub with its own power source, since that would bypass the power-hungriness of the headset. I suspect this is because the headset is trying to pull too much power, since several usb-connected devices also lose connection at the same time. So after pulling my hair out for months over this same issue, trying the headset on several different PCs with no issue, replacing my motherboard, RMA'ing my first headset, updating my BIOS (MSI mpg x570), and other uninstalling/reinstalling driver processes, I think I've finally figured out the issue.Īfter unplugging everything EXCEPT the headset and STILL getting the same audio cutting out issue, I noticed that the headset "dies" and then "resurrects" itself - the PC loses connection to it, and after a few seconds, reconnects it. I've even used the Kraken with another PC and did not have the issue at all. I can probably guarantee that this is driver related somehow because I have used different headsets on my PC without the issue. This is very frustrating since this headset is rather decent, and I'd hate to have to buy a new one. I've also tried reinstalling the drivers multiple times within device manager, to no avail. I've tried unplugging it for a day or two, then plugging it back in, with the result of it working for about an hour every time and then doing the popping sound and disconnecting again. I've tried unplugging and plugging it back in, didn't work. When I'm playing a game or watching media, the sound will randomly stop for a second with a pop noise, then come back a few seconds later. I got this Kraken about two years ago now and it's just recently been cutting in and out of sound, while playing any type of media, or games.
